What’s considered a qualifying dollar?

"Qualifying US dollars (USD) spent" is defined as time and mileage (base rate), paid upgrades and additional add-ons (such as GPS, ski racks and car racks), less any discounts or credits; and excludes all taxes and surcharges, vehicle licence fees, airport-related fees, insurance costs, fuel purchase option, and refuelling. Points will be rounded to the nearest USD. For car hires outside the USA, the currency will be converted into USD based on the exchange rate at time of car return.

"Qualifying rental days" are paid days associated with a qualifying car hire.

  2. Cars must be picked up and returned to the same hiring location.

  4. Car hire that has a valid Member Number applied to it at time of reservation, regardless of booking channel.

How do I make sure my car hires will count toward an elite tier level?

For Enterprise car hires, you must provide your Enterprise Plus member number each time you make a reservation for a qualifying hire. If you book online, you must first login so your member number will be automatically associated with your reservation. Car hires and rental days will be tracked automatically and reflected in your account activity, accessible via the My Account page.

For National car hires, first confirm within your Emerald Club member profile that your award selection is set to receive Frequent Traveller Credits. Select Enterprise Plus from the first drop-down menu for Frequent Traveller Programmes and then enter your Enterprise Plus number in the field directly to the right.

How do I request missing hiring activity if I forgot to provide my member number?

You can request credit for missing hiring activity up to six months after your hire return date. Missing points will be added for completed qualifying car hires returned on or after the date you activated your membership.

For Enterprise car hires:

  • First login and click on My Account. Then select the Missing Rental Activity form.
  • To complete this form, you must know your Rental Agreement number or Reservation number, along with pickup location and your pickup and return dates.

For National car hires:
